Birding Old Marsh Road
Join Caleb Jenks of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club on a guided hike across a portion of Old Marsh Rd. Hike will be approximately 1.5 miles, easy walking and will offer an opportunity for a sneak peak of migrating birds on an area of the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge that has limited public access during fall. Some binoculars may be provided for loan. This program is free and no pre-registration is required, however, if you plan to attend as part of a larger group please call ahead so that we may plan for additional guides –920-937-0032. Meet at the Egret Trail boardwalk parking lot at the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge auto tour off Highway 49.
Note: Old Marsh Road is closed to public access during the fall. This trip has received special permission from the USFWS staff.
