The Horicon Marsh covers 33,000 acres in Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties. The northern two-thirds are designated a National Wildlife Refuge and is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The southern third is owned by the state of Wisconsin and is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Both the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the DNR partner with the Bird Club on educational programs, conservation projects and more. The Marsh Haven Nature Center also partners with the Bird Club on many activities.
