SUMMARY:Winter Birds Bus Tour (registration required)
DESCRIPTION:Winter Birds Bus Tour: Saturday\, January 31\, 3-5:30pm \nWhether you are a new or experienced birder\, this guided bus tour offers an exciting chance to spot some of Horicon’s winter bird visitors.  DNR staff and members of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club will take you to all the hotspots as we search for beautiful birds like Horned Larks\, Snow Buntings\, Rough-legged Hawks\, possibly Snowy Owls\, and more.  Dress warmly\, as we may have the opportunity to get out and put some of the star birds in a spotting scope. \nThis tour will be on a traditional school bus and may be on bouncy back roads.  Bathrooms will be available before and after the trip but not during the trip.  There will likely be less than 1/4 mile walking.  Pre-registration and $15 non-refundable fee per person required.  Limit 30.  Register at https://horiconmarsh.org/event/winter-birds-bus-tour-limit-30-2/ \nYou must register and pre-pay to secure your reservation.  Please meet at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center located at N7725 Highway 28\, Horicon\, WI.  For additional information please contact Liz Herzmann at 920-210-9054 or elizabeth.herzmann@wisconsin.gov. \nAfter the bus tour\, stick around from 6-8pm and join us for an Owl Prowl!

DESCRIPTION:Owl Prowl\, Saturday\, January 31\, 6-8pm \nCome join us on January 31 from 6-8pm as we learn about the exciting world of owls from members of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club and DNR staff. We’ll learn about the different owls that call the Marsh home and about their incredible adaptations. After the 30 min presentation\, we will hit the trails to see if we can find an owl outside so bundle warm.
