Making your Wood Duck Boxes Pro"duck"tive.
Are you interested in learning what it takes to make the wood duck box in your yard a success? Then join Jeff Bahls, president of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club and board member of the Wood Duck Society, to see what makes a good nest box, how to mount a box, and where to place them to make the most of your box.
We will talk about typical wood duck nesting biology and insights. Jeff will give tips on enhancements that you can make to increase your odds for successful nesting and duckling survival. Learn how and when to monitor nest boxes. We’ll even watch a "jump" of the exiting of ducklings from a nest box after hatching.
