It flies, it migrates, people love them and we can help out. Learn the fascinating life cycle of the Monarch butterfly and what we can do to help build the number of Monarchs back to a healthy number again. Join Butterfly enthusiast Deb Pritchard as she explains the Monarch butterfly biology and what we can do for these wonderful creatures.
Deb Pritchard is a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam area along with her husband Albert, purchased their rural home in 1984. Since then she has turned their property into a Certified Monarch Waystation. Over the years she has attended numerous seminars and workshops for the Monarch Butterfly
She has actively raised, tagged and released Monarchs through the University of Kansas Citizen Science program for over 12 years. Deb has Participated in a Citizen Science program for the detection of Monarch diseases as well.

Meet at 8AM at Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center. From there we will car pool to various spots around the marsh to see ducks, geese, swans and who knows what else.
