Dodge - Dodge County Breeding Bird Atlas Block Busting Event

You are invited to join the Horicon Marsh Bird Club as we lead a field trip to observe and document breeding bird activity in areas around the Horicon Marsh. Unsure how to find breeding birds or document them? You’re not alone! But it’s easier than you might think, and experienced birders from the Horicon Marsh Bird Club will be there to show you how!

We plan on meeting at 7:30 am on Saturday June 10th in the upper lobby of the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center located on Highway 28 between the towns of Horicon and Mayville. From there we will travel to areas around the Horicon Marsh to hone our bird observation skills and document nesting bird species. After a few hours of surveying we will return to the Education Center at 10 am to demonstrate how to enter our breeding bird observations into the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas’s designated website. We will also answer any questions you might have about how to classify bird behavior and about the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas.

When: June 10

Where: Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center. N7725 Hwy 28. Horicon WI 53032
